Give Purposeful Childcare

Mothers love their children and will do anything to protect them and keep them safe. Our mothers are no different.

Did you know that there is research on factors that impact single mothers from completing programs that better themselves and their families? The results show that lack of access to transportation (which we discussed last week) and safe childcare are 2 distinct barriers. That’s why we provide childcare during all MAP services our moms participate in.

We strive for excellence and design our childcare program (“MAP:Kids”) to be more than a babysitter, but to be purposeful. We have dedicated staff members who know each child by name and prepare for them to come with their favorite activities in mind. We want them to feel like the MAP:Family is their family, too.

  • A one time donation of

    • $75 provides a MAP:Kids staff member during a group therapy session for our moms.

    • $150 provides MAP:Kids care for 1 mom during her “Pre-Phase” session(s) at MAP.

    • $600 provides a MAP:Kids staff member for a group therapy cohort for 1 month.

A 1 year monthly donation of

    • $50/month provides a MAP:Kids staff member for a group therapy cohort for 1 month.

    Give any amount here.

  • To finish out our fiscal year (ending in June 2024), we are raising $17,500 to continue to provide Purposeful Childcare for families at our MAP office.

While these numbers seem large to one person, as a MAP:Family, we can reach one mom at a time, one donation at a time.

NEW for 2024: Our printed take-home curriculum will include MAP:Kids activities that equip each mom to teach their child(ren) some of the skills that they learn in their group at an age-appropriate level.

Will you give to support Purposeful Childcare at MAP so our moms can continue to better themselves and their families?
